Llanymynech Quarry...Again

Headed back to the Quarry with Leon, Phil and Taum.

Decieded to try out the routes that are left on Foreigners Wall. All the other routes have been stripped of there hangers because of rare daiseys or something...

Despite the the dark clouds loaming over us it only rained when Leon climbed...!

Warmed up On-Sighting what I thought was a 6a called FCUK which is on UKC as a 6a+. Felt pretty solid 6a but i'll take the 6a+ tick as it would make it my first 6a+ On-Sight...Psyched!

Moved on to what we thought was another 6a called The Stringlers...Had to take on the second bolt after being greeted by a blank arete. Could only find some tiny crimps for the right hand. Lowered off and handed it over to Leon. Obviously he cruised it and we both agreed it didn't feel 6a. Turns out we were on the wrong climb. We were on Sack the Strugglers 6b+...Pretty fitting route name...!

Taum by this point had decided to get on Jack the Smuggler a series of blank looking walls seperated by defined ledges. He made good progress down climbed from the second bolt. Leon fancied his chances on it and faught his way to the top. slipped off the small crimps on the lower section and took a long rest on the last bolt before the lower off. A good effort for what looks like a very hard route..One day!
